New Dance Classes Start 6th October: Body Mobility, Medal Test Prep and Competition Training with Sergei
A stronger body, cleaner technique, and more confident performance can change the way a dancer feels on the floor. From 6 October 2026, three new evening classes are joining the schedule, each designed to support a different part of your dancing.
Whether the goal is to move with more ease, prepare for medal tests, or sharpen competitive performance, this new Tuesday evening line-up gives dancers a clear path from body preparation to exam focus to competition training.
Here is the new schedule:
Time | Class |
7 PM | Body Mobility |
8 PM | Medal Test Preparation |
9 PM | Competition Preparation |
Spaces are expected to fill quickly, so early booking is strongly recommended.

Start the evening at 7 PM with Body Mobility
The 7 PM Body Mobility class is built for dancers who want to move better, feel freer, and support their technique from the inside out.
Mobility is more than stretching. It combines controlled movement, joint range, balance, strength, and body awareness. For dancers, that matters in almost every step. A more mobile body can help with cleaner lines, smoother transitions, improved posture, and better control through turns, extensions, and changes of direction.
This class is especially useful because many dancers spend a lot of time practising choreography, figures, routines, and footwork, but less time preparing the body to handle those demands. Body Mobility gives that preparation a dedicated place in the week.
The class is suitable for dancers who want to improve performance without rushing straight into steps. It is also a smart choice for anyone who sometimes feels tight, stuck, heavy, or limited in movement.
Body Mobility can help dancers arrive in the next classes more prepared, more aware, and ready to train with better quality.
Build exam confidence at 8 PM with Medal Test Preparation
At 8 PM, the focus turns to Medal Test Preparation, a class for dancers working towards dance exams and assessment days.
Medal tests are a brilliant way to mark progress. They give dancers a goal, a structure, and a reason to polish technique in detail. They also help build confidence because students learn how to present their dancing clearly, not just practise it in class.
In this preparation class, students can expect guided work on the elements that matter most in an exam setting. That includes technique, timing, posture, foot positions, alignment, floorcraft where relevant, and the ability to dance with calm focus when being watched.
Students preparing for a specific medal level can use this class to ask focused questions, practise exam entries, and become more comfortable with the format. Those who are not yet booked for a test can still benefit by learning what a polished performance should feel like.
Train for the floor at 9 PM with Sergei
The 9 PM class brings a special focus: Competition Preparation with Teacher Sergei.
Competition training has its own energy. It is not only about knowing routines. Dancers need stamina, presence, timing under pressure, partnership skills, and the ability to recover quickly if something does not go exactly as planned. This class is designed to bring all of that into regular training.
Sergei’s approach is detailed, practical, and performance focused. The aim is to help dancers understand how to show their best dancing when it counts. That includes the technical side, but also the way dancers enter the floor, use space, respond to music, and maintain confidence through a full round.
What makes this class special is the combination of precision and performance. Dancers will not simply repeat routines. They will learn how to make those routines stronger, clearer, and more competition ready.
Training may include:
Routine clean-up
Refining sections that need sharper timing, better connection, or clearer shaping.
Floorcraft practice
Learning how to keep dancing when other couples are nearby.
Performance quality
Building expression, projection, and presence without losing technique.
Stamina and round simulation
Preparing the body and mind for real competition conditions.
Feedback from Sergei
Getting specific corrections that help dancers know exactly what to improve next.
This class is ideal for dancers preparing for upcoming competitions, but it can also support anyone who wants to dance with more power, clarity, and confidence. Even if a competition is not yet on the calendar, this style of training raises the standard of everyday dancing.
How the three classes work together
The new evening line-up has been planned so each class supports the next.
Body Mobility prepares the body. Medal Test Preparation sharpens technique and structure. Competition Preparation with Sergei builds performance skill under pressure.
Taken together, the three classes create a complete training evening:
7 PM | 8 PM | 9 PM |
Move better | Polish exam technique | Perform with confidence |
Improve range and control | Prepare for medal tests | Train for competition settings |
Build body awareness | Practise with structure | Receive focused coaching |
Dancers may book one class or join the full evening, depending on their goals. A dancer preparing for exams might choose Body Mobility and Medal Test Preparation. A competitor might take all three to cover body preparation, technical polish, and floor-ready performance.
The best choice is the one that matches the next step in training.
