Club Framework for Safeguarding
NSPCC Child Protection in Sport
NI Dancesport is committed to the highest standards of safeguarding in our sport. We will be following the NSPCC's Child Protection in Sport Unit guidelines, which include implementing the Club Framework for Safeguarding Standards in Sports. Our priority is to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all participants. Your trust and are at the heart of everything we do.
The framework is based on good practice for the voluntary sector as outlined in Keeping Children Safe: Our Duty To Care.
It was developed to support clubs to implement the Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children’s Sport, first published by Sport Northern Ireland and Sport Ireland in 2000.
When fully implemented, the standards should create a safer environment where children can enjoy sport and get the very best from their involvement. As well as provide parents with increased confidence and peace of mind.
