Spring has well and truly sprung, and this month, we're here to put a little extra bounce in your step with some fantastic dance events!
Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just taking your very first steps, NI Dancesport in Belfast, Northern Ireland, has something special lined up just for you.
From our very first exclusive Sequence Dance Practice Evening on Sunday, 6th April, to the new monthly Ballroom & Latin Practice session in Lisburn on Sunday, 13th April, plus exciting news about our Gala Ball, there’s plenty to discover in this month’s update!
Sequence Dance Practice Evening – Sunday 6th April
Date: 6th April 2025
Time: 7 PM - 10 PM
Location: Shaftesbury Bowling Club, Annadale Avenue, Belfast
This month, we're launching a brand new Sequence Dance Practice Evening—the first event where we will focus purely on sequence dancing! Come and join us for a 3-hour practice session for Classical & Modern Sequence dancers, on Sunday, 6th April, from 7 PM.
Focused Dance Practice
Each month, we will emphasize 2 or 3 dances. This will allow those who've recently learned them to refresh their skills. It also gives newcomers a chance to catch up before dancing those dances multiple times. This month, we're focusing on Dominique Waltz, Gucci Swing, and Souter Swing!
We will have tea and coffee around 8:30 PM, then spend the rest of the evening dancing a selection of Classical & Modern Sequence dances on request. You can look forward to a full 3 hours of assisted practice with dance scripts and videos available on the night.
Ballroom & Latin Practice Evening in Lisburn – Sunday 13th April 2025

Time: 6 PM - 9 PM
Location: Lisburn Masonic Club, Belsize Road, Lisburn
Join us for a full 3 hours of assisted practice with expert help available. The first hour will offer tuition by Adele Marsh focusing on Ballroom & Latin dance technique. This is perfect for dancers looking to refine their moves and receive feedback.
Evening Schedule
6 PM: Ballroom Jive tuition for medal test students
7 PM to 9 PM: Mixed Ballroom & Latin practice music
This session is designed to help dancers at all levels. Whether you're a beginner or someone looking to brush up on your technique, we have something for you.
Cha Cha Cha Technique with Stephen Vincent – Sunday 27th April 2025

Location: Vault Artist Studios, 116 Shankill Road, Belfast
NI Dancesport is excited to host Stephen Vincent, fresh from the latest series of Dancing with the Stars Ireland. Stephen is a former UK Latin American Champion and a leading dancer in the West End show 'Burn the Floor' for 12 years. He brings a fantastic opportunity to focus on Latin technique at a professional level.
Workshop Details
This 90-minute Cha Cha Cha workshop will put you through your paces and get you competition or exam-ready! It is aimed at upper beginners and improvers who already have the basics of Cha Cha Cha and are working toward their first exams or competitions.
Doors will open at 3 PM for warm-up, and the class will start promptly at 3:30 PM.
